Twenty Twenty Five a summary.

 ~2025~

Unbelievable it’s 25 years since the year 2000. When I was finishing year 10 now I have a child that has finished year 10! CRAZINESS. I had no expectations for 2025, but even I couldn’t have imagined what was in store.

January:

Began with the usual new year’s resolutions, be more organized, spend one on one time with the family, and lose some weight, and I ticked off like 1 thing off and it too was partially done. Theme of the year, partially done.

-Hubby and I Celebrated 11 years of marriage, 17 together overall.

- Our Fridge died, quietly so quietly we didn’t realize, so we brought a new one!

A fancy new Hisense, one bigger than our old one, and after one failed delivery, a forklift and taking 1 of our front windows out, We got it in the house.

- We Took Delivery of our tiny house! which you guess it partially done. Which is finally about 90% done ha-ha

- The kids started School again Year 3 for Master M, Year 7 for Miss E and Year 10 for Miss M.

We were excited for the year ahead.

Feb:

Settled into school for all, and back into routine.

- We were able to get new fence, which has opened up the back yard alot.

-Hubby Quit his job at Emeco,

-We went to Airlie for a few days with our friend C and her girls!

-Hubby got a new job and is now over the hill at Carborough Downs 5/2, 4/3 roster- Not my favorite

- I asked for Day hours at Officeworks, as situations had changed and I could no longer do 1pm-6pm Because I was on my own during the week and OSHC closed at 6 and I couldn’t be in 2 places at once. I got 2/3 days, I was Happy, but unfortunately this would be the thing that set my work colleague into hate mode. The thing she would hold over my head.. I knew she’d asked for them too but I got them..

- Miss M also started at Hungry Jacks!

- Miss M voted in as Committee Chair at School

-Miss E was voted in SRC in high school!

- We finally got, Built in’s, in all the rooms and it’s been a game changer!

March:

- We got the girls school photos back and OMG LOVE!

- We took a chance and started going to a wonderful Disability Service, and Met the most amazing people, What a wonderful new community we have!

- March was a lot of existing, and grieving and trying to get into the groove of being a DIDO family.

April:

-Master M got influenza A and shared it around most of us, it was worse then covid and pretty horrific.

-My Car A/C died and I had no car for 2 weeks!

- I came off the electric scooter, because of debis on the rd and couldn’t walk for a week.

- We saw The Minecraft Movie and Master M lasted the WHOLE MOVIE!!

- We had a lovely easter, with our beautiful friends.

- The Pope died.

- Our 3 once again marched in the ANZAC day Parade.

- Miss E started learning to cook at the That Place, and can now confidently cook on the sandwich press

- We booked over 12 months in advance to see Jimmy Carr.

May:

-Krispy Kreme opened in Townsville, Woo Hoo

- We celebrated Mum’s 59th birthday at the cemetery.

- Gilmour space almost sent a rocket up, it was abandoned due to weather

-We went to Townsville, With the some friends the DMJ Family!

- Manly Vs Cowboys game!!! So fun!!! Even though Cowboys lost…

- Miss E turned 13!!!! And we took her to NinjaParc, in Townsville!

-We went to Krispy Kreme. Yum!

- I started to really struggle working at Officeworks, The Hours weren’t working, with being the sole parent/ adult, and things took a turn, and the work environment changed because of one person.

- After weeks of Preparation, and talks with the school, Miss E went off to camp!

it lasted a day.., The whole camp was cancelled after less then 24 hours due to the camp having poor water quality, They did do a day trip to Airlie however!

- My turn to be hospitalized, I was in pain and couldn’t walk for weeks. It was adenomyosis, so that’s cool, exciting and fun on top of my Liver Disease.

June:

- Miss M was nominated, to join the State Ensemble Honors Program- for her vocals and was accepted!

- Master M started Sleeping in his room, after finally getting him, the right sheets, amount of lighting, Temperature and a little help from Melatonin.

- We went to the show, Miss E forced me to go on the King Flyer, and Miss M made Hubby go on the Joker. I then took Miss M on the Zipper! I was probably the oldest person on the zipper and watched all the kids in line shit themselves, and here I was taking my 15 year old on the zipper for mum and daughter bonding haha

- However on the Whizzer I was too buckled in and bruised my leg pretty badly!

- On the work front, Hubby and Miss M were thriving! I however was very close to the end of my Officeworks journey, I tried all official channels to fix the situation at work that was gradually getting worse.

- Hubby Celebrated his 41th Birthday (as Maxi called it)

- We went to Circus Quickus at pcyc

July:

- I found a few Christmas Presents, I hid super well, so gave them out as a July pressie, the best was a shower holder for our phones.. to this day remains the BEST thing ever.

- Erin Patterson ( The mushroom lady) was found- GUILTY

- We supported Dad at The Shed Happens Family Games Day at blue water quay.

- Work was still a battlefield. I wrote up a resignation letter, didn’t submit it. But it sat on my

Mind, and every shift was torture. I’d Split load onto a pallet, my boxes would be re arranged, I’d go to registers, and leave a box, if it wasn’t where it was supposed to be or I hadn’t gotten the chance to mark it yet. They’d call the manager or anyone who would listen to make out I wasn’t doing my job to name a few of the things.

- I went with the kids to the Naidoc Mass, and had my emergency bag of fidgets luckily.

- I played Grow a Garden with my Close Personal Friend Travis Kelce . No biggie.

- and Gilmour Space Finally flew the rocket… for 14secs!!

August:

August was well CRAZY

- Mackpopcon was on- First weekend of the month. We Had, Rainbow Dash (A), Apple Jack (E), Rarity (Miss M) and Generic Superhero (M)

- Things at work remained Tense, The personal attacks on my mere existence, were relentless.

- Hubby left his boots at home, I took a drive to take them to him, the GPS took me on many side quests, what was supposed to be an hour tops, it was almost 2 hrs! He did however get his boots.

- We hit the 1 year mark since we lost mum, It kinda snuck up on us.

- Miss M Competed in the Eisteddfod, She didn’t place, and didn’t really get great feedback either as in there wasn't much, but it was all about the experience.

- Master M went as Mario to bookweek, thank you to the fabulous J Cuzz for the borrow of his mario cart, Miss E went as Ricky Baker and WON! Miss M didn’t go as she was sick

- We went to The ODI at Harrup Park both days it was Great fun and Master M enjoyed his 1st ODI ever!

- I Turned 40! So many well wishes!

- Lost hearing in one Ear the day after!

- Then it happened- The final straw broke. I was at work and had words with the co-worker. Walked out and decided that’s it! Saturday the 30th august, I quit my job. I handed it on to the store manager, and asked him not to say anything, I just wanted to quietly leave before I snapped.

- I had the best 40th birthday party, Only thing that would have made it better would have been IF mum could have been there!

September:

- We went to 90’s Trivia where my anagram skills came in clutch!

- We watched the eclipse

- Helped at That place open day

-My Last Shift at Officeworks, was September 11th

- We went to Airlie Beach for ABBA

and the Ferris Wheel

- Miss M turned 16!!!

-Master M had his colour Fun Run, raised $250 and Slimed his principal.

- I might have also ran the fun run too.

-Miss M Got her learners.

- I found out I caused the autism my kids have because I took, Panadol so that was nice.. Thank you Mr Trump

October:

-We went to the BMA rescue chopper family day

- Max performed in his Eisteddfod, and they got second!

- I Started a new job, Tuckshop lady . It’s the literal best fun!

- We did Halloween, at Ooralea/Cuttersfield, Master M was Batman, Miss E a clown, I was a witch, A was a dead bride, and Miss M went to work but she was a zombie! It was great

- Master M walked 2kms!

November:

- I got an awesome postcard from work, sharing appreciation for the work I was doing. That was lovely.

-Andrew Mountbatten- Windsor, was stripped of his HRH title.

- Miss M decided to dislocate her knee cap. Ended up with a brace for her whole knee!

- She got it off just in time for her informal, and year 10 graduation! She looked stunning, and I can’t believe in 2 years she’ll be doing her grad!

- The tiny house finally got lights and Aircon! It's not being run by a extension cord anymore, it's now a permanent connection, that Hubby dug a trench for! and the girls have been upgraded to a split system aircon.

December:

- Miss E Passed her 1st year of high school!!!!!! Congratulations Sweetheart.

- Miss M Managed to get 3 awards again this year, HOW I dunno, but we will take it.

- Master M did his Carols and It was amazing as usual! We wore matching clothes and he loved it.

- We drove to Eton Range to see the meteor shower! It was stunning!

- Bondi again was a scene of senseless violence and the loss of 15 lives.

- After 15 months, We were able to gets mums name on the headstone.

-Master M turned 9!

- Master M was upset, that everyone forgets his birthday because of Christmas so we threw him a surprise party, However he didn't really understand the concept of surprise part and was apologizing to people that there was no party and they were all here. After we explained he was happy.

-Christmas was beautiful, Our temu gifts were a huge success and they all just got he spirit of giving.

- We had a lovely Christmas Day afternoon at The wonderful DMJ House.

- Boxing day with The Family was wet at seaforth but still a load of fun! We got to test out our new gazebo, and stayed pretty dry under it, Did a secret Santa, We went to the water park, and Master M was pretty stoked he was swimming in salt, sea water for the first time he can remember.

- We had an impromptu Pedi day, Miss M, Miss E, Me and K (My sister). at the boxing day sales lol

- New year’s Eve was amazing, Great company poker and the countdown to midnight

Thank you also to whoever had fireworks in Andergrove .

2025 is done.

2025 was huge. There was travel, Airlie twice and, Townsville! Hubby went to work over the hill and I became a solo parent during the week. I also quit my job and found a new temp one. And I also found a path forward. I am not going to just survive anymore, I want more.

Miss E is thriving in high school, Miss M is heading into senior schooling! And Master M is Master M always full of life, We did a few projects around the house and have a few unfinished We have new fencing, Built in cupboards and the new little tiny house for 2 bedrooms so we aren't all up on each others laps . In 2025 I feel like maybe we found our people! we've been blessed to find people who love us and our kids just because and that feels good.

I go into 2026 with a new Job, and enrolled to study to begin my new career. We have a Year 11, Year 8 and Year 4 students. Things are coming together slowly, House is looking good, Yard is almost done, and we're hopeful for a good year.
